Mechanical Contractor Services for the Installation of Piping and Pump Stations

GRU (Gainesville Regional Utilities) is soliciting proposals for mechanical contractor services to install piping and pump stations connecting its two zero-liquid-discharge power plants: Deerhaven (DH) and Deerhaven Renewable (DHR) Generating Stations. The project is located at 10001 NW 13th Street, Gainesville, Florida. The water sharing project will allow DHR to replace groundwater with treated groundwater from DH, reducing makeup water demand by increasing cycles of concentration and lowering waste blowdown. The project is estimated to provide a 0.2 million gallons-per-day benefit in reduced groundwater pumping.

The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) is providing a grant to fund the mechanical contractor services. This solicitation covers the mechanical portion of the project, including piping system installation between the two facilities. Contractors must submit proposals including technical specifications, scope of work, and pricing information on the provided price sheet template.
