Mechanical Joints (MJ) & Gate Valves

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is soliciting sealed responses for the procurement and delivery of Mechanical Joint Gate Valves. These valves are specifically intended for use in the construction and maintenance of WSSC's water and sewer systems serving Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland. The service area spans nearly 1,000 square miles across both counties.

The successful contractor shall furnish and deliver mechanical joint gate valves in accordance with the specifications detailed in the procurement documents. Responses must be submitted via WSSC's eProcurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/wsscwater. The submission deadline is 2:00 pm Eastern Time on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Late responses will not be accepted.

Key dates and milestones include: Q&A deadline of November 4, 2025 at 7:00 pm. Solicitation was released on October 30, 2025 and posted the same day. Complete specifications, general conditions, insurance requirements, and bond requirements are provided in the attached exhibits. The procurement includes evaluation of minority business enterprise (MBE) and small local business enterprise (SLBE) program participation.

Contractors must meet minimum qualifications as outlined in the solicitation documents. Submission must include pricing proposals and vendor questionnaires as specified. All submissions are subject to general conditions and special conditions outlined in the procurement package.
