Method of Submission – Bid Processing Fees

The Generation Procurement Entity (GPE) is soliciting proposals for the supply of up to 100 MW (net) of electricity generation capacity from renewable energy resources on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis. This RFP invites qualified developers and power producers to design, finance, construct, own, and operate renewable energy generation facilities that will supply electricity to the GPE under long-term arrangements.

Proposers are expected to develop renewable energy projects that meet the specified capacity requirements and comply with all technical, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to power generation facilities in Jamaica. The BOO model requires that selected bidders maintain ownership and operational control of the facilities throughout the contract term.

Bid processing fees are required as part of the submission process. The GPE has specified that only ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers and wire transfers will be accepted as valid payment methods for bid processing fees. Manager's cheques are not acceptable. Wire transfer instructions are provided for payments to the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, with funds directed to the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology/Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica account (Account #236572803).
