MGT1 CO2 Fire System replacement excluding existing piping and detectors

Replacement of the MGT1 CO2 Fire Protection System at Lakeland Electric's power generation facility. The scope includes replacement of CO2 fire suppression system bottles, solenoids, hoses, fittings, and connections. The Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP), which is currently obsolete, must be replaced. All devices must be verified for operability, with replacement of any faulty components including horns, strobes, alarms, pull stations, and detectors. The contractor must verify that all wiring is adequate and replace any wiring and conduit as necessary to meet current standards.

The current CO2 fire system is obsolete and requires replacement with like-kind equipment. Most bottles and hoses have reached end of life and require immediate replacement. The FACP is obsolete and no longer supported.

Key dates include a Q&A deadline of March 18, 2026 at 9:00 PM EST and a proposal submission deadline of March 27, 2026 at 7:30 PM EST. Vendors must provide detailed pricing proposals and complete vendor questionnaires as part of their submissions.

The project is located at the MGT1 power generation facility in Lakeland, Florida. Contractors must comply with all insurance and safety requirements, including indemnification agreements, human trafficking affidavits, and contractor safety evaluation forms.
