MREP Relay Panel Supply

The City of Lakeland, on behalf of its municipal utility Lakeland Electric, is soliciting bids for the design, procurement, fabrication, delivery, storage, and installation of Electrical System Relay Panels for the McIntosh Reciprocating Engine Project (MREP). The project involves installing a new 120 MW natural gas-fired reciprocating internal combustion engine (RICE) power generation facility at the existing C.D. McIntosh Jr. Power Plant brownfield site located at 3030 E Lake Parker Drive, Lakeland, FL 33805.

The relay panels will provide protection systems for the 69 kV transmission line connection to the Tenoroc Substation, the Generator Step-Up transformer (GSU), the six reciprocating engines, station service transformers, the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG), and the backup feed transformer. The complete project includes detailed design, procurement, and construction of a full RICE generation facility with ancillary buildings and equipment.

Key deadlines for this solicitation include a Questions and Answers (Q&A) deadline of June 23, 2023 at 9:00 PM and a proposal submission deadline of June 30, 2023 at 6:00 PM.
