MSC Chiller Plant Upgrade

Johnson Controls will perform a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) upgrade for two chillers located at the Municipal Services Center (MSC). The project scope includes removal of the old system and installation of a new Optiview panel. All existing sensors and wiring cables on the chillers will be replaced, and a PRV position sensor will be added. The internal components of the solid state starter will be removed and a new VSD cabinet installed. An electrical subcontractor will remove existing wiring and furnish new connections to the VSD, complete wiring to the motor, and perform any additional startup procedures between the new Optiview system and VSD. Upon completion of Chiller 1, the same process will be repeated on Chiller 2. Operations will be verified and the work area cleaned as needed.

The project is designed to alleviate obsolete parts on the existing chillers and is estimated to take approximately two weeks per chiller. Johnson Controls will provide a three-year warranty on all parts supplied. The proposal deadline is September 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
