North Canyons EV Chargers (311-24)

Zone 7 Water Agency seeks qualified contractors for the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electric vehicle charging infrastructure at the Zone 7 Main Office Building in Livermore, California. The project includes eleven (11) new EV charging pedestals: nine (9) dual-port chargers equipped with J1772 connectors designated for fleet use (5 units) and staff/public use (4 units), plus two (2) single-port chargers for staff/public use. Five dual-port chargers are designated for fleet use, while four dual-port and two single-port chargers serve staff and public use.

The scope of work encompasses comprehensive electrical infrastructure upgrades including installation of a new 250 kVA step-down transformer and 600A panel board, a new 120V feed for District-provided networking equipment in an existing electrical room, new ADA van accessible and EV parking signage, parking stop bollards, and restriping of existing parking and ADA-parking areas affected by the charging station installation. Additionally, the contractor must remove and replace an existing section of concrete walkway along an ADA accessible route. All new equipment must be furnished and installed per the Contract Documents specifications.

Bidders must hold current California Class A General Engineering and Class C-10 Electrical Contractor licenses. Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on March 6, 2025 at 22:00 (10:00 PM), a Questions and Answers deadline of March 13, 2025 at 22:00 (10:00 PM), and a proposal submission deadline of March 27, 2025 at 21:00 (9:00 PM). The solicitation was released February 21, 2025.

Comprehensive bidding documents including the Project Manual, Project Drawings, and Appendices A are available, with addenda issued on March 14 and 18, 2025. All work must comply with ADA accessibility requirements and District standards.
