The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit external stakeholder feedback regarding offshore wind predevelopment activities. The RFI aims to gather input on the value, benefits, and risks of funding predevelopment initiatives to inform New York State's decision-making process.
The feedback collected through this RFI will be used to determine the potential structure and timing of a subsequent predevelopment Request for Proposals (RFP) and to guide the design of that RFP to achieve optimal outcomes for New York State. This is Round 1 of the solicitation process.
Stakeholders are invited to provide comprehensive input on predevelopment support programs related to offshore wind energy development. Submission instructions and detailed deadlines for Round 1 are available on NYSERDA's Offshore Wind Solicitations website at https://www.nyserda.ny.gov/All-Programs/Offshore-Wind/Focus-Areas/Offshore-Wind-Solicitations/NY6-Solicitation.
