Old North Lakes Substation Demolition

The City of Denton is requesting competitive sealed proposals for the demolition of a retired substation facility located at 3405 N. Bonnie Brae, Denton, TX 76207. The major work consists of demolition of the building, foundations, asphalt and concrete pavement, miscellaneous above ground structures and equipment, and utility services of the retired substation. Respondents are required to have considerable experience in providing demolition services and must demonstrate a proven track record of using innovative approaches to provide goods and services that represent best value to clients.

Key submission requirements include an original hard copy bid bond with raised seal, unit price proposal using the provided form, key personnel resume form, past experience form, and conflict of interest questionnaire. Submissions must be made via the designated submission process; email submissions will not be accepted. The submittal process may take significant time, and the City strongly recommends respondents do not wait until minutes before the deadline to submit.

Important dates include a non-mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting and Project Walkthrough on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST at the project site. The question cutoff date is July 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM CST. A Public Opening will be conducted on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2:45 PM CST at the City of Denton Development Service Building, Training Room ONE, 401 N. Elm Street, Denton, TX 76201, with virtual attendance available via Microsoft Teams.

Proposal deadline is July 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. All bid documents including the project manual, technical specifications, plans, and required forms are available for download.
