This Request for Proposals seeks staff augmentation to support Austin Energy's electric distribution infrastructure. The scope includes performance of routine and emergency electric distribution service and maintenance work for overhead power lines, including installation, maintenance, repair, and removal services. The work encompasses utility pole pulling and removal, traffic control device placement and removal services, and street light maintenance and repair activities throughout Austin Energy's service territory as shown in Exhibit B.
Key dates for this solicitation include publication on March 30, 2026 at 7:20 AM, with responses due prior to May 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The response opening is scheduled for May 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Multiple addenda have been issued (Addendum 1 through 5, with the final addendum issued on May 4, 2026) which should be reviewed as they may modify the original solicitation requirements.
Submissions must include an Offer and Acceptance form, a completed Price Sheet, and a required MBE/WBE Compliance Plan with subcontract vendor list. Proposers must also complete FACTA forms (Exhibit C), sign the Data Handling Controls agreement (Exhibit D), and sign the Network Connection Agreement (Exhibit E). Staff must complete Austin Energy Overhead Construction Training as detailed in Exhibit A. All responses must be submitted through the eResponse system in the Austin Opportunity portal.
