PenTex 2022 RFP for ERCOT Energy Products

PenTex is soliciting proposals for energy products to support operations in the ERCOT market. The RFP seeks bids for two categories of energy products: energy-only blocks and energy-only fixed load shape schedules. Bidders are evaluated independently for each product offering, allowing PenTex to potentially execute all 11 deals if deemed acceptable. Energy products will be contracted via EEI enabling agreements rather than through grid modifications or upgrades.

Key dates include RFP issuance on November 10, 2022, with a proposal submission deadline of November 28, 2022 at 4:00 PM CPT. Results notification is to be determined, with execution of power supply agreements required no later than February 28, 2023. Bidders may submit questions regarding the RFP to PenTex2022RFP@acespower.com, with relevant questions and responses posted anonymously on the confidential information page. Response times vary depending on question complexity.

Proposal evaluation will utilize standardized forms provided in Appendix A-1 (for energy-only blocks) and Appendix A-2 (for energy-only fixed load shape schedules). Load forecasting data will be provided in fixed load shape format upon request. Financial statements from the past three years are available in the confidential section of the website with password protection. Only the two specified energy products will be considered; alternative products are not permitted.
