Power Plant Turbine Engine

The City of Pasadena Water and Power Department is seeking information regarding the availability of a lease engine for a GE LM6000 PC for planned or emergency utility needs. The lease term is for two (2) years starting October 2025.

Pasadena Water and Power's (PWP) Glenarm Power Plant operates two natural gas-fired combustion turbine units, GT-3 and GT-4, which are simple cycle GE LM6000 units with a capacity of 47 MW each. These units are primarily used to provide power generation during peak periods. The leased engine would support the plant's operational requirements during planned maintenance or emergency situations.

This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to gather market availability data and preliminary pricing information from potential vendors who can supply or lease compatible turbine engine equipment for this application. Respondents should provide detailed information about engine availability, lease terms, pricing structure, and any technical specifications or conditions associated with their offerings.
