Power Production Mowing and Grounds Maintenance at McIntosh, Larsen and Winston Power Plants

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified, experienced contractor to provide comprehensive grounds keeping services at four Lakeland Electric power production facilities totaling approximately 364 acres. The contractor must supply all equipment (including maintenance and depreciation allowances), materials (including all safety equipment and consumables), and labor to perform mowing, weed removal, tree and bush trimming, edging, flower bed maintenance, and herbicide application at the McIntosh, Larsen, and Winston power plants and one additional facility.

The scope of work includes full grounds maintenance services across multiple power generation facilities requiring specialized knowledge of working at industrial power production sites. The contractor must comply with all safety and occupational health requirements specified in the bid documents, including insurance coverage and safety evaluation criteria. All work must be performed in strict accordance with the terms and provisions outlined in the specification.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on August 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM, a questions and answers deadline of September 5, 2023 at 9:00 PM, and a proposal submission deadline of September 11, 2023 at 6:00 PM.
