Purchase and Delivery of Initial Glycol Fill for the McIntosh Reciprocating Engine Project (MREP)

Lakeland Electric is procuring ethylene glycol with nitrite-free corrosion inhibitors for the McIntosh Reciprocating Engine Plant (MREP), a new 6-engine 120 MW power generation facility. The glycol will be used to fill the cooling water systems for the six reciprocating engines and gas skid heating circuit, providing freeze and corrosion protection after system flushes are completed and prior to placing the units into service. The system utilizes copper radiators with no known aluminum components.

Key Dates: Questions and Answers deadline is February 20, 2024 at 22:00 (10:00 PM EST). Proposal submission deadline is February 27, 2024 at 19:00 (7:00 PM EST).

Submission Instructions: Bidders must complete all required sections including the Notice to Bidders, Introduction, Scope of Work, General Provisions, Insurance and Safety Requirements, Specification of Safety and Occupational Health, Vendor Questionnaire, and Pricing Proposal. All attachments must be included with the bid submission, including indemnification forms and safety evaluation forms.

Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on compliance with specifications, pricing, vendor qualifications, safety record, and insurance requirements. Bidders must demonstrate experience with similar projects and maintain appropriate contractor insurance and certifications.
