Purchase and Delivery of Initial Glycol Fill for the McIntosh Reciprocating Engine Project (MREP) Re-Bid

Lakeland Electric is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of ethylene glycol with nitrite-free corrosion inhibitors for the McIntosh Reciprocating Engine Plant (MREP). The MREP is a new 6-engine, 120 MW power generation facility designed to support the electrical systems and community needs of Lakeland, Florida. The glycol will be used to fill the cooling water systems for all 6 reciprocating engines and the gas skid heating circuit. The system contains copper radiators with no known aluminum components. Suppliers must provide glycol from the list of approved anti-freeze agents specified in the MAN approved anti-freeze agents attachment. The glycol will be supplied for freeze and corrosion protection after system flushes are completed and prior to placing the units into service.

Bidders must comply with all general provisions, insurance requirements, and safety and occupational health specifications outlined in the invitation to bid. Vendors are required to submit a Contractor Safety Evaluation Form and complete a Vendor Questionnaire as part of their proposal. Indemnification agreements are required from all contractors and vendors. The solicitation includes comprehensive insurance and safety requirements that must be met prior to award.
