Pure Water AV - Demonstration Facility

The Palmdale Water District seeks a qualified contractor for the construction of a new Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) Demonstration Facility. The work encompasses structural, civil, landscape architectural, architectural, and building mechanical systems for the entire Demonstration Facility, as well as process mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls (I&C) work specifically for the Advanced Water Treatment Area (AWTA).

The contractor will be responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and installing equipment and materials furnished by the owner, coordinating with the owner's pre-procured suppliers. The process mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls work for the Brine Management Area (BMA) may be added to this contract or performed by a separate BMA Contractor, with whom the primary contractor must coordinate. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements, WIFIA appendix conditions, and DWR Grant Agreement conditions.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on March 18, 2024 at 4:00 PM, a question and answer deadline of May 2, 2024 at 8:00 PM, and a proposal submission deadline of May 10, 2024 at 10:00 PM. The project is funded through WIFIA and DWR grant programs and requires compliance with community workforce agreements and prevailing wage standards for Los Angeles County.
