PWP Energy and Water Efficiency Education Program Services - Request for Information (RFI)

The City of Pasadena Water and Power Department seeks qualified vendors to provide energy and water efficiency educational programming services to sixth-grade students within the Pasadena Water and Power service territory. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather information from potential vendors and qualified professionals with proven expertise in energy and water efficiency education to inform future procurement processes.

The scope of work includes development and delivery of educational programs focused on energy conservation, water conservation, electrification, and sustainability. The program will build upon PWP's existing sixth-grade initiative that has operated successfully for over five years. The educational offerings must meet state and federal education standards and provide students and their families with knowledge about electricity and water resources, conservation practices, and PWP's role in reliably serving the community. Students will have opportunities to install efficiency kits provided to all participants.

PWP is seeking one qualified, knowledgeable, and reliable vendor experienced in managing energy and water efficiency education programs to develop and coordinate services over a three to five year period. Responding vendors should provide information about their capacity, experience, and approach to delivering a successful educational program. Participation in this RFI will not positively or negatively impact future procurement decisions, and responding to this request is not a pre-qualification for any potential future Request for Proposals.

Key dates include a Q&A deadline of February 8, 2024 at 1:00 AM and a proposal response deadline of February 14, 2024 at 10:00 PM Pacific Time. All information submitted in response to this RFI is considered public information.
