Raymond UUD Civil Construction Services

The Raymond Underground Utility District (UUD) Project is a joint initiative by the City of Pasadena's Water and Power Department and private communication companies to underground existing overhead utility facilities within the Raymond Avenue district. The project area is bounded by N. Raymond Avenue from the north City Border (north of Montana Street) south to Maple Street, with work conducted in the right-of-way as previously defined.

The scope of work includes joint trench activities and installation of substructures according to provided plans. Bidders must provide conduit systems for service to each parcel to be converted within the district. The project requires coordination between multiple utility providers and adherence to detailed technical specifications for underground utility installation, including design standards for conduit systems, public safety requirements for open excavations, and speed table pilot installations.

This is a Labor and Materials contract under the City of Pasadena's competitive bidding process (PMC 4.08.045). Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience with underground utility construction, comply with federal contract provisions, provide proof of valid SAM registration, and meet all insurance requirements as specified in the bid documents.
