RC3H Electrical Room Cooling Improvements

The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) is requesting proposals for construction of electrical room cooling improvements at the RC3H facility, identified as CSP 24-094. This project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work including demolition of existing paved areas, condensing units, ductwork, piping, electrical equipment, and associated features. The work includes abandonment or demolition of existing Air Handling Units (AHUs) and coordination of utilities and temporary power.

The project scope includes construction of a new mechanical building with metal roof, burnished CMU veneer, and aluminum louvers, as well as relocation of an existing parking canopy with new concrete paving, curb, and sidewalk installation. New mechanical systems will be installed including AHUs, chillers, chilled water pumps and tanks, with associated ductwork, piping, appurtenances, and supports throughout the facility.

Additional work includes new yard piping, fiber optic cable installation, physical security features, and site restoration in accordance with Owner standards. Optional alternates are available for selective demolition of existing air handlers located above VFDs in the electrical room, demolition of catwalks above VFDs, and installation of ductwork between existing VFDs.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on October 28, 2024 at 15:00, a questions and answers deadline of November 13, 2024 at 23:00, and a proposal submission deadline of November 18, 2024 at 20:00. The project is located at the Tarrant Regional Water District facility at 800 E. Northside Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
