Re-Bid Peak Shaving Generator System Gas Piping

Greenville Utilities Commission seeks quotes for the complete design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of a natural gas piping system for five peak shaving generator units. The work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, installation, permits, support stands, hangers, testing, and commissioning. The gas system will be sourced from a 60 PSI natural gas line and connect from existing ANSI 150 4-inch flanged ball valve stubs to each generator engine.

Key scope elements include: steel gas pipe installation per API standard 5L Grade X52 specifications; welded steel pipe fittings conforming to ANSI B16.9; forged steel ANSI 150 flanges per ASME B16.5; valve installation per Kerotest Manufacturing specifications; proper coating and sandblasting to NACE No. 1/SSPC-SP 5 standards; all electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic interconnections; pressure testing at 100 psig for minimum four hours; purging and tie-in operations; and a 2-hour full load test for each generator performed sequentially. The contractor must obtain all permits and licenses, provide qualified welders certified to API 1104 standards, supply temporary electrical systems, and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage.

Delivery is FOB to the property adjacent to 3280 MacGregor Downs Road, Greenville NC 27834, with prices including all costs of delivery and installation. The contractor must provide current lead-time for project completion. Work must comply with North Carolina Building Code, National Fuel Gas Code NFPA 54/ANSI Z223.1, National Fire Protection Association Codes, and all applicable EPA and state environmental standards. Performance testing with GUC representative present is required prior to shipment, with ten days advance notice mandatory.
