Reheat Outlet Header & Stub Tube Replacement, Unit 1 Boiler at Gerald Gentleman Station

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) is seeking information regarding the replacement of the Unit 1 Boiler Reheat Outlet Header and Stub Tubes at the Gerald Gentleman Station (GGS) facility located near Sutherland, Nebraska. This Request for Information (RFI) is designed to gather budgetary estimated costs for material supply and installation labor in support of a planned project during the GGS Spring 2026 outage.

Vendors are offered the opportunity to access normally inaccessible areas of the work site during the scheduled outage for the purposes of conducting a technical walk down of the proposed work area. This walk down is intended to support information gathering and budget estimation and is not a formal pre-bid solicitation or binding commitment. The interior work areas will be accessible to interested bidders May 19 through 21, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. each day.

Material supply and fabrication sourcing requirements specify Non-Asia origin (with South Korea and Japan accepted as exceptions). United States of America (USA) material supply and fabrication is the preferred option. Vendors should provide material pricing for both USA sourcing and alternative non-Asia sourcing options if USA is not the primary sourcing location.

Key dates include the RFI availability date of May 4, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. CDT and the response due date of May 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. An optional pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Interested vendors must notify NPPD representatives to schedule their walk down visit as soon as possible.
