Replacement of Fabric Filter Bags

This project involves the replacement of filter bags in 20 compartments of the Deerhaven Renewable (DHR) Baghouse facility. Filter bags are critical components for proper baghouse operation and must be replaced to ensure the baghouse operates at peak performance and maintains compliance with federal air quality and regulatory requirements.

The Deerhaven Renewables facility is a 102 megawatt (MW) outdoor wood-fired biomass steam-electric generating unit located in Alachua County on U.S. Highway 441 north of Gainesville, Florida. The facility features a wood-fired bubbling fluidized bed boiler and steam turbine generator with 102 MW net output, utilizing natural gas as a startup fuel. The boiler exhaust system includes a selective catalyst reduction system using 19.5 aqueous ammonia, a pulse jet fabric filter (PJFF) baghouse, induced draft fan, and exhaust stack. The steam turbine generator is contained within an insulated enclosure with associated bearing lube oil systems, and plant heat rejection is provided by an induced draft cooling tower.
