Request for Proposals for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adoption Strategy and Roadmap

The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) is seeking proposals for the development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adoption Strategy and Roadmap. This initiative establishes a foundational framework for AI adoption across the District through structured engagements, strategic planning activities, and comprehensive risk assessments. The scope encompasses enabling secure, efficient, and high-impact implementation of AI technologies tailored to the District's priorities in water and wastewater operations, infrastructure management, and sustainability.

Key deliverables include: development of an AI Strategy Roadmap with comprehensive implementation plan detailing phases, milestones, required resources, and timelines for successful AI integration; identification and prioritization of high-impact AI use cases that advance District goals in predictive monitoring, infrastructure optimization, energy efficiency, and climate adaptation; establishment of an AI Risk Management Program to identify and mitigate technical, operational, and ethical risks early in the adoption process; and collaborative working sessions with District leadership to shape strategic objectives. The selected consultant will convene key leaders in strategic planning activities to ensure AI initiatives are financially sustainable, technically viable, and aligned with District strategic and operational goals.
