San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is seeking qualified vendors to provide Professional Services for Energy Trading Risk Management. SDCP is exploring licensing and deploying an Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) system to help manage its power portfolio and financial & budget processes. The ETRM system is expected to be a software-as-a-service (SAAS) offering with functions including deal capture/trade entry, position tracking and management, valuation, reporting, risk analysis including counterparty risk management, settlements including AP/AR integration, and budget integration. The ETRM should handle the full range of power products including Power Purchase Agreements, Energy Storage Service Agreements, Resource Adequacy Agreements, Renewable Portfolio Standard Attribute Agreements, and hedging contracts. SDCP is also exploring systems for load forecasting and battery asset optimization and dispatch. SDCP will consider proposals that encompass only a portion of the scope. SDCP expects the minimum term of services would be three years, with options for longer engagements and/or extensions. Full implementation of the systems is expected to be ready beginning January 1, 2025.
