Request for Qualifications for Smart-E Inspectors

Connecticut Green Bank seeks applications from qualified energy, energy efficiency, and environmental professionals to inspect residential energy, energy efficiency, and environmental installations and upgrades throughout the state of Connecticut. Inspectors will perform site visits to ensure installations and upgrades are installed properly, safely, and to specification as part of the Smart-E Loan program and occasional solar PV inspections at the Green Bank's discretion. Applicants must have working knowledge of applicable Connecticut state building codes (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), previous experience designing/installing/inspecting energy efficiency technologies, knowledge of technology components, and appropriate certifications from recognized professional associations. For solar PV inspections specifically, applicants must possess solar shading analysis tools (Solar PathFinder), ability to evaluate azimuth and tilt of solar arrays, knowledge of PV components (inverters, modules, monitoring equipment), working knowledge of National Electrical Code Article 690, previous experience with solar PV and battery backup systems, troubleshooting abilities, and preferably NABCEP Certification. Applicants must provide general background information including company history, number of employees and clients, examples of at least three relevant projects, three references, disclosure of any litigation or judgments, and technical requirements including expertise description, overall approaches and qualifications, and names and experience of employees who would perform inspections.
