The California Energy Commission's Clean Transportation Program is announcing a competitive grant solicitation with up to $9 million in available funding to accelerate the development and deployment of easy-to-use EV charging products that help customers manage electric vehicle charging and respond to dynamic grid signals. This solicitation builds upon Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and International Standard for Organization (ISO) 15118 technical requirements included in CEC's block grant projects, as well as recent revisions to the Load Management Standards. Up to $300 million in additional grant funds may be available in the future to complete a second phase of work for agreements initially awarded funding under this solicitation.
Key Dates: Release date is March 10, 2023. Questions deadline is March 29, 2023 at 5:00 pm. A pre-application workshop is scheduled for March 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM via remote access. The submission deadline is June 2, 2023 at 11:59 pm.
