RFB for Cast Iron Service Tees, Plastic Gas Valve Boxes & Meter Risers

Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking quotations for the furnishing of Cast Iron Valve Box Risers, Plastic Gas Valve Boxes, and Meter Risers for utility operations. The procurement includes five distinct items: 1 inch Cast Iron Valve Box Risers (Bingham & Taylor #6016-B1, estimated quantity 50 units), 6 inch Plastic Gas Valve Boxes with lids marked Gas (Bingham & Taylor #P5B20G-105 white boxes with yellow gas lid, estimated quantity 100 units), 2 inch Meter Risers (Perfection #78403 SWEEP 90 or Uponor #242382380840, estimated quantity 20 units), 1 inch x 3/4 inch Meter Risers (Perfection #79058 or Uponor #255000490000, estimated quantity 400 units), and 2 inch Cast Iron Valve Box Risers (Bingham & Taylor #6016-B2, estimated quantity 50 units).

All items will be purchased in box quantities as specified. Bidders must specify brand names for all items quoted and expected delivery times on the Request for Quotation Form. The contract will be awarded as a total quote for all five items together to a single bidder. Quantities specified represent only estimates of Greenville Utilities Commission's needs for a twelve-month period, and GUC reserves the right to purchase more or less than stated quantities at the firm prices indicated.

The contract is intended to be a multi-year agreement not to exceed three years in total duration. Prices shall remain fixed during the first year with options for annual extensions at the same or negotiated unit prices for up to two additional years if market and service conditions warrant and prove to be in the best interest of GUC. All items must be new and in first-class condition with new, suitable containers for storage or shipment. Prices should not include North Carolina sales taxes, which will be added as a separate line item on invoices. GUC is exempt from Federal Excise Tax and will issue a Federal Exemption Certificate upon request.

Delivery must be made Free on Board to GUC Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday only. The GUC purchase order number must be shown on the packing slip or related documents. Bidders who cannot furnish items in accordance with specifications may offer substitutes with full details of approved equivalents. All exceptions to specifications must be clearly stated on the Exception Form provided.
