RFB for Dresser D. I. Couplings

Greenville Utilities Commission is soliciting quotations for the supply and maintenance of Dresser D.I. Couplings in five different sizes. The successful bidder will be responsible for furnishing Smith Blair 461 Quantum couplings and maintaining safety stock levels for each size category.

The quotation includes the following items: 4-inch #38 couplings (20 estimated quantity with 4 units safety stock), 6-inch #38 couplings (65 estimated quantity with 10 units safety stock), 8-inch #38 couplings (30 estimated quantity with 4 units safety stock), 10-inch #38 couplings (15 estimated quantity with 2 units safety stock), and 12-inch #38 couplings (10 estimated quantity with 2 units safety stock). All items are to be purchased in box quantities per the specifications. Bidders must specify the brand name and expected delivery time for all quoted items.

The contract will be awarded as a total quote for all five items together to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder whose evaluation indicates that the award will be in GUC's best interests. The successful bidder will enter into a multi-year contract with an initial one-year term at fixed prices, with options for annual extensions at the same or negotiated unit prices for up to two additional years. Prices must remain fixed during the first year. All deliveries must be made FOB GUC Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834, with delivery hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday only.

Bidders must submit quotations on the provided Request for Quotation form, signed by an authorized official. All exceptions to specifications must be clearly stated on the form, otherwise complete compliance with specifications is assumed. Quotations may be mailed, delivered, or emailed. No deposit is required. GUC is exempt from Federal Excise Tax and will issue a Federal Exemption Certificate upon request. Sales tax should not be included in quoted prices but will be added to invoices as a separate line item.
