RFB for Support clamps, plastic service tees, and Fittings

Greenville Utilities Commission is requesting quotations for the furnishing of support clamps, plastic service tees, stab couplings, and repair couplings. The specification includes eleven distinct items comprising various plastic polyethylene fittings and support clamps used in utility distribution systems. Items required include 2-inch and 4-inch polyethylene elbows (90 degree), tees, and caps meeting ASTM D2513, D3261, and F2897 standards with SDR 11 PE 2708 specifications. Additionally, the procurement includes specialized TEE fittings with integrated excess flow valves and electrofusion couplings in sizes ranging from 1.25 inches to 6 inches, sourced from manufacturers such as Central Plastics, Performance Pipe, Uponor, and Ipex.

Estimated quantities include 40 units of 2-inch elbows, 20 units of 2-inch tees, 150 units of 2-inch caps, 10 units of 4-inch caps, 125 units of 2-inch support clamps, 30 units of 4-inch elbows, 10 units of 4-inch support clamps, 10 units of 1.25-inch by 0.75-inch excess flow valve tees, 400 units of 2-inch by 0.75-inch excess flow valve tees, 35 units of 4-inch by 0.75-inch excess flow valve tees, and 5 units of 6-inch by 0.75-inch excess flow valve tees. All items will be purchased in box quantities.

Submission deadline is 2:00 PM EST on January 13, 2026. Quotations must be submitted on the official Request for Quotation form and may be mailed to Cleve Haddock, Purchasing Procurement Manager, 401 South Greene Street, Greenville, NC 27834 or emailed to haddocgc@guc.com. Questions regarding the bid request must be received by January 6, 2026 end of business day. The contract will be awarded as a total quote for all eleven items together to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder whose evaluation indicates the award will be in GUC's best interests. GUC reserves the right to reject any and all quotations.

It is the intent of Greenville Utilities Commission to enter into a multi-year contract not to exceed three years from the award date. Prices shall remain fixed during the first year with options for annual extensions at the same or negotiated unit prices for up to two additional years if market and service conditions warrant. Delivery times must be specified by bidders, and all materials must comply with specified technical standards or deviations must be clearly documented on the Exception Form.
