RFB for Wire

Greenville Utilities Commission is soliciting sealed bids for the procurement of three types of underground electrical cables for distribution system installation and maintenance. The bid includes 99,000 feet of 1/0 15KV underground primary cable (stock #201360), 23,000 feet of 350 MCM 600 volt underground triplex cable (stock #201330), and 12,000 feet of 4/0 600V underground triplex cable (stock #201260). All cables must be delivered on non-returnable reels in specified configurations and must meet stringent industry standards including AEIC, ICEA, and ASTM specifications.

Submitted bids must include detailed specifications of the cable brand(s) being quoted, expected delivery time in weeks, unit pricing, and extended pricing for all items. Bidders must certify compliance with all specifications or clearly note any exceptions on the provided Exception Form. All proposals must be submitted on the official Proposal Form only; fax and email submissions are not acceptable. Delivery must be made FOB to Greenville Utilities Commission Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834, during business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Greenville Utilities Commission reserves the right to award this bid as individual items or as a total bid for all three items combined. The commission also reserves the right to purchase more or less than the stated quantities based on actual needs at the quoted prices. All submitted proposals must be accompanied by two copies of certified test reports prior to invoicing. The contract will be governed by comprehensive terms and conditions including insurance requirements (Workers' Compensation, General Liability of minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence, Automobile Liability of $1,000,000 combined single limit, and Cyber Liability of $3,000,000 per occurrence), patent and copyright indemnification, and compliance with E-Verify employment verification requirements.
