RFP 240065 — Food Service Programs: Training and Induction Cooking Demos

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide Commercial Food Service energy efficiency and electrification classes and Induction Cooking Demonstrations services. The contractor will support PG&E's Workforce Education & Training (WE&T) program and related customer and market-facing initiatives. Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving technical classes and hands-on induction cooking demonstrations that advance energy efficiency and building electrification in buildings and facilities throughout PG&E's service territory.

The selected organization must be capable of delivering high-quality, accurate, safe, and engaging educational classes and demonstrations for a range of commercial food service professionals, including trade professionals, business owners, chefs, educators, and other stakeholders who influence equipment specification and selection, commercial kitchen design, construction, operations, and maintenance.

Services under this RFP will support PG&E program objectives by increasing awareness, building practical skills, addressing market barriers, and enabling informed decision making related to energy efficiency and electrification technologies for commercial and residential kitchens and facilities. The estimated contract value is $537,500 over 2.5 years, with $215,000 per 12-month period. The RFP tentative release date is April 13, 2026, with formal RFP responses due May 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM PT.
