RFP 26-26228 for NFPA 70B Electrical Preventative Maintenance Services

Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to perform electrical preventive maintenance services in accordance with the NFPA 70B 2026 Edition (or most current edition). The scope of work involves comprehensive preventive maintenance activities on electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with current industry standards.

Key dates for this solicitation include a mandatory pre-proposal conference scheduled for 10:00 AM AKDT on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, which will be held electronically via Zoom or in-person. Prospective bidders must submit their request for participation electronically to FormalQuestions@mea.coop at least 24 hours prior to the conference to receive the Zoom meeting invite. Attendance at this conference is mandatory for any proposal to be considered for award.

Questions related to this RFP must be submitted electronically to FormalQuestions@mea.coop no later than 12:00 Noon AKDT on Friday, May 8, 2026. Responses to questions will be provided to attendees of the preproposal meeting by 4:00 PM AKDT on Friday, May 15, 2026. Proposals must be submitted through MEA's ShareFile site no later than 4:00 PM AKDT on Friday, May 22, 2026. Any proposals received after this deadline will not be considered.

Proposers are required to specify in their response whether exceptions are taken to any terms and conditions of the MEA Sample Contract provided in Appendix A. Exceptions taken after the proposal submission may result in rejection. MEA reserves the right to define and waive irregularities, accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or part, and to reissue, withdraw, or cancel the project in its entirety for any reason without liability to proposers.
