RFQ – Pest Control at 3 Production Sites

The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) is soliciting qualified vendors through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to provide professional pest control services at three of its power production sites. The scope of work covers the inspection, treatment, and prevention of common pests (including insects, rodents, and other vermin) at OMPA's generating facilities. Contractors are expected to propose a comprehensive integrated pest management (IPM) approach that minimizes environmental and health risks while ensuring safe, continuous operations at each site.

The three sites requiring service are the Ponca Power Production Site (Ponca City, OK), the Kaw Power Production Site (near Kaw City, OK), and the Chowtaw Power Production Site (Chowtaw, OK). The successful bidder will be required to perform monthly routine inspections and treatments, provide emergency pest control services upon request within 24 to 48 hours, and submit detailed service reports after each visit. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and environmentally responsible pesticides necessary for the work. OMPA retains the right to terminate the contract at any time with 30 days' written notice.

Vendors must be properly licensed in the State of Oklahoma for pest control services and shall provide proof of insurance (general liability, workers' compensation) with their proposal. The award will be based on best value to OMPA considering qualifications, experience at similar industrial/power generation sites, proposed approach, pricing, and references. OMPA is a public power utility supplying electricity to 38 member cities across Oklahoma.
