The Bioenergy Market Adjusting Tariff (BioMAT) Program administered by Southern California Edison Company (SCE) is currently closed to new applications. However, projects remaining in a Fuel Resource Category queue are permitted to accept the final price and execute a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) subject to conditions specified in the Tariff regarding the Final Period.
The program consists of three product categories with varying capacity allocations and final prices. Category 1 offers 12 MW of available allocation at $127.72/MWh, Category 2 provides 12 MW at $187.72/MWh for dairy operations and $183.72/MWh for other agricultural operations, and Category 3 offers 2.5 MW at $199.72/MWh. The total program capacity is 114.5 MW with 103.7 MW remaining in queue, and a total of 26.5 MW available for allocation among the three categories.
Projects remaining in the queue have an opportunity to accept the final price and execute a PPA through March 31, 2026. All information provided regarding the BioMAT program is subject to change.
