Southern Spirit DC Tie Interconnection Study

ERCOT seeks a qualified supplier to perform the Southern Spirit DC Tie (SST) Interconnection Study. The scope of work includes steady-state and dynamic stability analysis, system strength assessment, and coordination of HVDC design data inputs. This interconnection study is critical for evaluating the technical feasibility and grid integration requirements of the proposed DC tie project.

Key dates include an optional Notice of Intent to Propose due May 19, 2026, respondent questions deadline of May 21, 2026, with ERCOT responses provided by May 25, 2026. The formal proposal submission deadline is June 5, 2026. Respondent presentations may be required at a date to be determined. The anticipated contract award and contract start date are also to be determined.

Proposals must be submitted through the Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS) platform. Respondents are required to create a free supplier account at https://us.workdayspend.com/rfps/public/1191631 and use the WSS message center for all communications and questions.
