Structural Testing Market Study

This Request for Proposals seeks qualified applicants to conduct a comprehensive market study of the structural testing industry in the United States. The study will analyze the overall structural testing market and identify adjacent markets where the Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC) facilities and technical expertise can be strategically leveraged and expanded. Focus areas for market expansion include aerospace, defense, custom structures, civil infrastructure structural testing, and energy and climate technologies.

Applicants will be responsible for evaluating market opportunities, assessing competitive positioning, and providing strategic recommendations for expanding WTTC's service offerings into new sectors. The study should identify potential revenue streams, customer segments, and technical capabilities that may require development or acquisition.

The scope of work encompasses comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility assessment for structural testing services related to emerging technologies in the clean energy and climate sectors. The study will inform MassCEC's strategic planning for the WTTC facility located in Boston, Massachusetts.
