Supplemental Skilled Mechanical Labor at Lakeland Electric Generation Facilities

The City of Lakeland is seeking bids from qualified Industrial Maintenance contractors to supply skilled Industrial Mechanics/Millwrights on an as-needed basis. Contract mechanics will be utilized to supplement Lakeland Electric's existing workforce during planned outages and as needed, performing journey-level, highly skilled work in the maintenance and repair of power plant equipment at the Lakeland Electric generation facilities.

The scope of work encompasses supplemental staffing services for industrial maintenance personnel, specifically mechanics and millwrights with expertise in power plant equipment maintenance and repair. Contractors must comply with all terms and conditions specified in the solicitation, including insurance, safety, and occupational health requirements. The contract will operate on an as-needed basis, allowing flexibility in deployment based on Lakeland Electric's operational requirements.

Key deadlines include a Q&A deadline of August 30, 2023, and a proposal submission deadline of September 8, 2023 at 7:00 PM. Bidders must complete vendor questionnaires, provide pricing proposals, and submit various indemnification and safety evaluation forms as specified in the attachments. All contractors must demonstrate compliance with the Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements and pass contractor safety evaluations.
