Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is soliciting quotations from qualified bidders to furnish one or more air switch load break units, 12 kV, horizontal, with hookstick control, in accordance with Drawing 1-L-497A. There are four (4) approved manufacturers per the referenced drawing; equal, substitute, or equivalent products are not permitted. Bidders must provide quotes on a net delivered price basis (Free on Board or FOB Alameda, CA) with all handling, transportation charges prepaid, and including all local, state, and federal taxes (excluding sales tax). Quotes must remain valid through the end of July 2026, and the successful winner must honor their proposed pricing at the time of shipping.

Key dates include a Q&A deadline of June 3, 2026, at 19:00:00 and a proposal submission deadline of June 17, 2026, at 19:00:00. Bidders must enter responses directly into the OpenGov procurement system; email submittals will not be accepted. All bidders are responsible for reviewing and acknowledging any addenda posted to the bid portal, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.

Arter Receipt of Order (ARO) lead time in weeks must be specified in the pricing table and may be considered as an evaluation criterion in addition to quoted pricing. Purchases exceeding $25,000 require approval from the City of Alameda's Public Utilities Board (PUB) at a PUB monthly meeting. The procurement includes standard sections addressing instructions to bidders, review and selection process, evaluation criteria, public nature of materials, disqualification, gratuities, ineligible firms or persons, protests, AMP's rights, contract agreement type and payment method, purchase order terms and conditions, and required submittals.
