Tabor Road Substation Construction of Interconnection 138kV Line

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) is soliciting bids for the construction of an interconnection 138kV transmission line and associated substation work at the Tabor Road Substation location. The project includes transmission line construction, substation yard construction, protective and control (P&C) systems installation, and physical/structural improvements.

Key project components include construction of a 138kV interconnection transmission line, expansion and upgrades to the Tabor Road Substation yard infrastructure, installation of protective and control systems per detailed specifications, and civil/structural work including foundation and site preparation based on completed geotechnical investigations. The project scope is fully documented in five technical appendices covering bid unit proposal forms, detailed technical specifications, geotechnical reports, P&C system drawings, and physical/structural drawings.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on June 19, 2026 at 9:30 AM CST at the BTU System Operations Center (2200 Fountain Avenue, Bryan, TX 77801), with the site visit immediately following at the Tabor Road Substation (3084 FM974, Bryan, Texas). Questions must be submitted by June 25, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST. Electronic bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM CST on July 2, 2026. Bid opening will be conducted publicly via Zoom immediately following the submission deadline.
