Tollway 34kV Switchgear Building

The City of Naperville is seeking a contractor to furnish and install all materials, labor, construction equipment, and supervision required to construct one (1) 34.5kV switchgear building at the Tollway 30 Substation. The work includes construction of a weather-tight masonry building with foundation, doors, roofing, lighting, receptacles, HVAC systems, drainage piping, and building grounding. The contractor must complete all testing of lighting, receptacle, and HVAC systems installed and deliver the building as "ready for occupancy" so the City can proceed with installation of the 34.5kV switchgear and associated equipment. The building design has been completed by others, and detailed drawings will be provided to bidders.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on May 11, 2026 at 4:00 PM, a questions and answers deadline of May 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM, and the proposal submission deadline of June 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
