AI overview

The County of Sacramento Department of Transportation (SACDOT) is responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the County's traffic signal systems, including signal heads, pedestrian indications, wiring, detection systems, poles, mounts, pedestrian push buttons, RRFB equipment, and various accessories. This Request for Bid (RFB) seeks competitive pricing from qualified suppliers for an as-needed basis for traffic signal parts through a discount-from-catalog (or discount-from-price-list) model. Rather than pricing individual line items, vendors shall provide percentage discounts off their published catalog(s) for specific product categories. This contract is intended to simplify procurement, improve price consistency, reduce administrative workload, and allow SACDOT to purchase a broad range of traffic signal commodities, components, equipment, and related materials as needed.

Multiple awards may be made, allowing SACDOT to utilize more than one supplier based on availability, delivery timelines, or urgency. The anticipated contract term will begin September 7, 2026, and continue through September 6, 2027, with the option to renew annually for up to four additional one-year terms. Renewals will be contingent upon satisfactory performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement. Final contract execution will be subject to all terms and conditions established by the County's Contract and Purchasing Services Division, including compliance with safety requirements and all applicable laws.

This RFB is part of a cooperative purchasing agreement through the Lead Participating Agency, County of Sacramento, for SCoPA (Sacramento County Procurement Alliance), a collaboration that allows the County and other Governmental, Educational, and Non-Profit entities to benefit from collective purchasing power and allow for efficient contractual processes for the supplier community. As a result, any selected bid may be utilized by additional participating entities, providing expanded visibility and potential for additional opportunities. The procurement contact is Maria Cojocari, who can be reached at cojocarim@saccounty.gov or (916) 876-6363. Key dates include a Q&A deadline of August 7, 2026, at 21:00:00 UTC, and a proposal deadline of August 21, 2026, at 21:00:00 UTC.
