Transformer Oil and Breaker SF6 Testing

The City of Denton is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide transformer oil and breaker SF6 testing services. This solicitation seeks an individual or business with considerable experience in providing specialized testing goods and services. The selected vendor shall possess a proven track record of using innovative approaches to providing goods and services that represent the best value to the City.

Vendors must demonstrate the ability to accomplish all aspects of the requested testing services and provide innovative methods to address municipal challenges with cost-effective solutions. A single firm may submit responses for one or more categories of products or services as outlined in the detailed scope of work.

The City intends to consider interlocal cooperative agreements and state/federal contracts in determining the best value for the entity. All responses must be submitted in sealed format via IONWAVE or hard copy only; email submissions are not accepted. Respondents should submit their proposals well in advance of the deadline, as the submittal process may require significant time.

Key deadlines include a question cutoff date of May 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM (CT), with questions submitted via IONWAVE only. Responses must be received by May 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM (CT). The City highly recommends avoiding last-minute submissions due to potential processing delays.
