Transformer Salvage, Refurbishment, and Disposal

The City of Denton is requesting qualifications from individuals or businesses with considerable experience in providing transformer salvage, refurbishment, and disposal services. The selected contractor must demonstrate a proven track record of using innovative approaches to provide goods and services that represent best value to clients, with the ability to accomplish all aspects of the requested services.

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks qualified contractors capable of handling municipal transformer-related challenges with cost-effective solutions. Respondents may submit qualifications for one or more categories of products or services as outlined in the solicitation documents. The City highly recommends that respondents do not wait until the final minutes before the submission deadline, as the submittal process may require significant time.

Key Dates: The solicitation was issued on May 29, 2026 at 4:00 PM (CT). Questions must be submitted by June 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM (CT). All proposals must be received by June 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM (CT). The question cut-off allows potential bidders adequate time to seek clarification before the final submission deadline.

Submissions must be provided via IONWAVE or hard copy only; email submissions are not accepted. Questions must also be submitted through IONWAVE only, with no phone calls or email inquiries permitted. All responses shall be submitted in sealed format to the City of Denton. Required documents include a completed Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, proof of insurance meeting specified requirements, and responses following the provided statement of work (SOW) and sample services contract.
