U5 CT Building Fire System -Wet Mist

The City of Lakeland is seeking qualified contractor bids to design, supply, and install a water mist-based fire suppression system for the McIntosh U5 Combustion Turbine enclosure. The scope includes complete demolition and removal of the existing FM-200 fire suppression system. The work will be performed at the McIntosh Power Plant, located at 3400 E. Lake Parker Drive, Lakeland, FL 33805.

Key dates for this procurement include: Pre-Proposal conference on September 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM; Questions and Answers deadline of September 30, 2024 at 9:00 PM; and the Proposal submission deadline of October 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Contractors must provide comprehensive insurance and safety documentation as specified in the ITB terms. The bidder is required to complete a vendor questionnaire and submit detailed pricing proposals. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in Attachment C (Deluge Water Mist Fire Suppression System Specification) and reference existing system drawings provided in Attachment D. Site laydown and equipment compartment diagrams are provided to assist with planning.

Submissions should be made through the OpenGov procurement portal. Contractors must sign indemnification agreements and complete safety evaluation forms prior to contract award. The project requires coordination with existing power plant operations and adherence to all applicable safety and occupational health standards.
