Unit 1 Boiler Reheat Superheater Replacement Installation (Sheldon Station)

Nebraska Public Power District seeks a qualified contractor to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, incidental materials, and consumables for the installation of Unit 1 Boiler Superheater replacement work at Sheldon Station. The work scope encompasses reheat superheater (RHSH) heating surface replacement including the entire inlet and outlet sections. The RHSH consists of 188 circuits total: the outlet section includes 47 panels with four circuits each, and the inlet section includes 63 total panels (62 with 3 circuits and 1 panel with 2 circuits). Additional work includes replacement of reheat inlet and outlet refractory crown seals located within the boiler penthouse, and installation of twelve (12) thermocouples on select RHSH outlet tubes. The contractor will remove original materials and install District-supplied replacement materials.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on July 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM CDT at Sheldon Station, 4500 Pella Road, Hallam, Nebraska. Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend to review contract specifications and clarify requirements.
