Well 1 Upgrades

This project consists of water infrastructure improvements at Well 1 including the removal of an existing submersible pump and installation of a new vertical turbine pump, motor, discharge piping and instruments. The scope includes removal of the existing booster pump and installation of a new split case pump with new suction and discharge piping and instruments. Architectural improvements to the chlorine disinfection equipment room are required, along with HVAC improvements to the pump room and electrical upgrades. Additional work includes architectural upgrades to the pumphouse, new access hatches, vent, and overflow system in the existing reservoir, site water system piping, new retaining wall, concrete and landscaping site improvements, and all associated components and appurtenances as defined in the Bid Documents.

The Contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, equipment and materials except for those materials specifically defined in the Special Provisions. The project was published on September 10, 2017, with additional publications on September 17 and 24, 2017. An addendum was issued on September 22, 2017.

Bid submissions were due on October 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM to 308 Constitution Way, P.O. Box 50220, Idaho Falls, ID 83405. Bid opening was scheduled at 380 Constitution Way. Plans and Specifications were available for purchase from the Public Works Department at 380 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, ID 83402 for a non-refundable fee of sixty dollars per set.
