Well 36 Equipping

Palmdale Water District (PWD) is seeking qualified contractors to construct and equip a new 600 horsepower municipal water well. The scope of work includes all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals required by the contract documents.

The work consists of: civil and site work including excavation, compaction, grading, paving, and fencing; well building and foundation construction; installation of a deep well vertical turbine pump and motor; above and below ground valves and piping; installation of a 30-foot tall SCADA antenna (materials provided by District); building plumbing and drainage systems; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; electrical and instrumentation work; startup testing and training; and preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.

Key dates for this procurement include: Pre-Proposal meeting on January 24, 2023 at 5:00 PM; Questions and Answers deadline on January 28, 2023 at 1:00 AM; and Proposal submission deadline on February 15, 2023 at 1:00 AM. Contractors must comply with the Community Workforce Agreement 2019 and all applicable PWD standard specifications and requirements.

The District is an independent special district governed by a five-member Board of Directors, formed in 1918 to supply water to approximately 4,500 acres of agricultural land within its boundaries. This formal bid solicitation is for work exceeding $50,000 and requires submission of complete proposal documents including pricing, technical qualifications, and compliance with all contract terms and conditions outlined in the provided specification documents.
