San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is seeking an accounting firm to provide general accounting services, financial statement audit support, financial operational assistance, and grants management support. The scope of work includes: (1) Monthly Financial Operational Assistance: maintaining accounting systems, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable management, vendor contract compliance, providing monthly financial statements, filing annual returns, preparing compliance reports, and assisting with treasury functions; (2) Financial Statement Audit Support: drafting financial statements, preparing audit workpapers, and coordinating with auditors; (3) Grant Management Support: providing grant billing and reconciliation, assisting with single audits, maintaining financial statements for the San Diego Regional Energy Network. Experience as a certified public accountant, with accounting principles generally accepted in the US, with standards for accounting and review services, and with California CCA industry or related utility/municipal experience is required. The initial contract term is three years with possible two additional one-year extensions.
