Massachusetts is doubling down on its commitment to climatetech innovation with MassCEC's Innovation Ecosystem Program, offering substantial funding to organizations that support early-stage clean energy entrepreneurs. This comprehensive initiative provides two distinct pathways for Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) to access up to $120,000 in operating funds, with an additional competitive fellowship pool of up to $900,000 available through Track 2.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) has designed this program to strengthen the state's position as a climatetech hub by empowering the organizations that nurture promising startups. Track 1 offers flexibility for incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs to enhance existing programs or develop new initiatives supporting climatetech entrepreneurs. Track 2 takes it further by adding access to fellowship funding that can provide direct financial support to entrepreneurs through living stipends and R&D grants, making it particularly attractive for research translation programs.
